| The
Altamont Fairgrounds is home to a great host of
Capital Region held Annual Events. Attendees, Performers
and Attractions at these events come from the greater
Northeast Region and from the far parts of North
America.
The Altamont Fair is held annually during the second week of
August. Late summer the grounds host the Capital Region
Scottish Games and Irish fest. Both events report
attendances from 15,000 to 20,000 plus. In the fall,
Capital District Apple Fest draws 10,000 plus attendees to celebrate
the foliage and apple season. Home to the
WGNA Country Fest in 2008, over 25,000 county music
fans enjoyed show at the foot of the
beautiful Helderberg Mountains.
Beyond these large events, the grounds are great
for large family picnics, corporate picnics, festivals,
trade shows and outdoor competitions. We have
indoor and outdoor facilities to ensure your event
can be hosted rain or shine!
