Step back into the Village of Altamont as it may have looked over 100 years ago! Visit many of the original businesses as you stroll through the cobbler shop, post office, saloon, Western Union station, an early machine shop and the hardware store. A restored train ticket booth is also on display. This museum also houses one of upstate New York's largest collections of horse-drawn carriages.
Sherman's Lumberjack Show performs 3 shows daily illustrating axe throwing and dicussing early construction techniques.
The North East Woodworkers Association will be demonstrating wood turning, woodworking, wood burning on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Poets at the Fair perform on Wednesdsay at the Hotel Altamont stage.
