Bake for a Cure at Altamont Fair! Enter the Fleischmann’s Yeast “Bake for the Cure contest. Fleischmann’s Yeast gives generous local cash prizes for home bakers ($375 per fair), plus $3,000 in national grand prizes. For each entry at all contests nationwide, ACH Food Companies Inc. will
donate $10 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure on behalf of its Fleischmann’s

Scarecrow contest: Bring scarecrows to the Fairgrounds the weekend before the Fair . Judged on originality, durability and creative use of materials. Age classes and group class – check here!
Apple peeling contest occurs twice daily. Come try your skill at peeling the longest continuous strip of apple peel. This is a FUN contest to test how long you can go. Apple peeling happens everyday in New York. Show us how it is done! We supply the peelers and apples. Thank you Altamont Orchards and Indian Ladder Farms!
